Wow, the Internet has finally gone over the hill. Who the hell knows if the Internet is good or bad for society but I don't know where we would be without it. Twitter was hit with a denial of service attack this morning starting at 9:30am. The site was down for about 2 hours before it was brought back online. At this time, it is still being hit with the attack but is able to stay online. A message from Twitter was released stating:

Twitter Overwhelms Facebook and Mashable

Twitter has caused an issue with Facebook. It doesn't matter whether or not you have the Friendfeed or Twitter applications, they are posting on your wall. Since this is such an issue, it is now a trending topic. From this, so many people have replied to the mashable.com tweet that their site is affected now as well.

Twitter is eventually going to join with Google and form Skynet. At this point that is not the case. Just be careful as to what tweets are on your wall.

Yahoo and Microsoft Team Up with Bing as Exclusive Search Engine

Yahoo and Microsoft reached a deal that will utilize Bing as the exclusive search engine. This is a 10 year agreement and will put some additional pressure on Google who currently owns the market. The summary of the deal is that Microsoft will run the search engine as well as the ad sales system. Yahoo will focus on the actual advertisement sales for the search. We will see how this all fits together, but Bing was definitely a step in the right direction for Microsoft.

Google Creates New Operating System - Next Step Towards Skynet

Google has announced today that they are coming out with a new operating system called Chrome. That is interesting as Chrome is already the title of their web browser. It appears at initial launch that this new OS is going to be mainly focused on netbooks and web applications.

This is going to be a very big step for Google and a large challenge to Microsoft. If Google is able to take over the desktop operating system, this will provide the search giant with even more leverage. It seems like the next logical step after creating GMail and Google Docs.

Michael Jackson's Memorial - How Hard Will It Hit the Internet?

With the Michael Jackson memorial occuring today during actual business hours I am wondering how bad it will effect the Internet. Most people in the US won't be able to watch the event on TV, therefore the only source with be the Web.
