New Jersey Teacher Selling Grades for Cash

Well, we all knew the recession is bad and sometimes you have to do whatever it takes to put food on the table. That is what Megan Laboy, a 33 year old teacher from New Jersey, was doing at the expense of her students. Supposedly Laboy was offering her students "extra credit" at Colts Neck High School for a little cold hard cash. After making a total of $1,400, the social studies teacher was arrested and is no longer employed with the school system.

I don't see a problem with selling grades for money. Isn't that what a bunch of online colleges do anyway? On top of that, if Laboy were to go out and get a second job to earn some extra money, wouldn't that be teaching her students the wrong lesson? I mean, you shouldn't have to work your ass off to get ahead in this world. If you don't believe that simply look at George W. Bush.
