I know after you drink a bunch of beer it can definitely hurt the next day. Usually that pain does not involve being caned however. Kartika Sari Dewi Shukarno, a Malaysian model, has been sentenced to a caning after drinking a beer in public at a hotel lobby. She also had to pay a fine for the crime which was ruled on 2 years ago in a Malaysian Islamic court. Shukarno wants to be caned in public stating that if it supposed to teach a lesson she wants everyone to see it.

There are so many damn reasons not to be religious and this one just knocked Islam off the map for me. Why in the hell would God care if you drank a Miller Lite at the lobby bar in a Hilton? It doesn't seem like you are hurting anyone by doing that. All I know is that if I was going to be caned 6 times for the crime of drinking beer, I would want to be at least a 12 pack in to dull the pain a little bit.
