Haley Barbour, the Governor of Mississippi, was a guest on Hardball today and asked a very simple question.

Matthews: "Is [Sarah Palin] qualified to be president?"

Barbour: "Well, uh, Constitutionally she sure is. Uh, I will tell you now Chris, she is a lot brighter than she gets credit for."

Matthews continued pushing Barbour for an answer as to whether or not he feels Palin is is qualified but he basically got nowhere. The Mississippi Governor simply danced around and simply stated he isn't sure what would disqualify her from the role.

Why in the hell are these politicians so afraid of saying what they truly think? Watching them dance around like they are in a Billie Jean video simply makes them look even more ridiculous and slimy. We all know that Palin is qualified to be President according to the Constitution, it's whether or not she could actually perform the job as the Nation's leader. I am pretty sure that Governor Barbour knows the right answer to the question. If Palin was put into the role of President she would run the country straight into the ground and make a fool out of herself anytime she gave a speech. It would basically be a female George W. Bush but with a lot more winking and "You Betchas".
