In an interview with John King, McCain had the topic of Sarah Palin put on the table. He stated that he thought Palin made clearly the best decision by resigning as Governor of Alaska. From there he went on to say that he was deeply saddened by the attacks on her and her family. McCain also stated that he had "never seen anything quite like it".
It's funny that John McCain has no problem defending Sarah Palin, but the same can't be said for the President of the United States. I am sure that we would really struggle to put down the birther movement or get upset that Obama is being called a terrorist or a Nazi. To be fair, McCain doesn't have much of a choice but to defend Palin. If he doesn't, it will definitely highlight his complete disaster of a choice for making her his running mate in 2008.
