Letterman took on Dick Cheney and Sarah Palin last night during his opening monologue. Apparantly there are Republicans spreading the rumor that in 2012 the presidential ticket is going to be Cheney/Palin. This was Letterman's response:

"Talk about your dream ticket ladies and gentleman. Oh buddy! The comedy recession is over. I mean, come on, talk about your shotgun marriage."

Letterman then went on to discuss the latest Vanity Fair article featuring Levi Johnston. The article discussed the fact that Palin was going to adobt Bristol's baby once it was born and keep it all a secret. Letterman didn't elaborate on this after mentioning it simply saying - "Oh yeah, like I'm gonna make a joke about this. None of my business.".

At the end of the day I completely agree with Letterman. If Cheney and Palin run together in 2012 it is like Christmas at a strip club. What could possibly go wrong? It will be fun for the whole damn family.
