Maine recently had a vote to repeal a state law allowing same-sex marriages. In the end, the voters chose to end the rights of gay couples to marry. Jon Stewart discussed this issue last night on the Daily Show highlighting views and advertisements from both sides of the issue. Of course, the group pushing against the right of same-sex marriage turned this into a downward spiral that would eventually lead to children being taught to have gay relationships.

At the end of the day, the fact that gay marriage is still not allowed in any state in the union is just very sad. It's the religious Right that is pushing their fears around and ensuring that equality is not spread to all Americans.
