Jon Stewart Takes on President Obama and His Weak Handling of Wall Street CEOs

In The Daily Show's ongoing segment "Clusterf#@k to the Poor House", Jon Stewart talked last night of the recent meeting in Washington to discuss the bailout. Now that the banks are doing much better, Obama needed to have a little talk with the CEOs of these companies to ensure that the money starts cycling back to the taxpayers that loaned them the money. Well, the CEOs from Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Citigroup were not able to make the meeting in person due to flight delays from bad weather. Stewart's take:

"Bad weather, uhhhh, yesterday was sunny. Yesterday was a nice day. Unless you were flying down to Washington Icharus style on wings of wax and you were concerned there might be a little meltage, I'm not bitin'."

Apparently fog was the cause of the flight delay and there was no other way the CEOs could possibly make it to the nation's capital.

After the meeting, Obama brought forward the same rhetoric and expectations of these financial institutions to begin exploring all possible avenues to get the economy moving again. Stewart was not very happy that the President was still speaking in "future-tense" even after this meeting took place.

"Oh, oh, and I guess if they don't do that, at the next breakfast meeting, ha ha, no omelette bar."

I am sure at some point Obama will get very stern with these Wall Street fat cats that are pulling in big bonuses by having irresponsible business practices. I am also sure that there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
