Glenn Beck heard about a law in the New York that would mandate employers to offer sick days to their employees. This of course would kill small business in Beck's mind as this would cost these companies money. Anything that could possibly help people and not business is simply against the Constitution according to Beck.
I am so damn tired of these Conservative assholes only worrying about big business and "hoping" everything simply trickles down. The government is the complete enemy in their mind (unless it's the military) and anything they can say or do to put more money in the hands of a rich CEO is a huge win. I am all for small and big business, but I am also for the American people who I think deserve some standard of living if they don't make 6, 7 or 8 figures. If you are sick you should be able to stay at home, not infect other workers and also be able to pay your mortgage. If you open a small business you should probably think about these things when developing your business model. Will people take advantage of this? I am sure they will, but that does not justify punishing everyone else for the few assholes that try and sneak past the system. I am certain that if we asked Glenn Beck whether or not children should be able to work full-time he would be in agreement. I mean, hell, you have to pay adults triple the amount of a child. We don't want to kill the small business owners now do we?
