Colbert Takes on Rhode Island for Denying Funeral Rights to Gay Couples

Last night, the Colbert Report took on the governor of Rhode Island for denying funeral rights to gay couples. In "The Word" segment titled "Skeletons in the Closet" Colbert discussed Governor Don Carcieri's decision to veto a bill that would allow gay couples to claim the body or make funeral arrangements for their partners.

Colbert of course "agreed" with the decision and made many arguments against the funeral rights for gay couples.

"The gays are always trying to steal the best parts of marriage. You know, like claiming the body of your spouse. This is an assault on marriage from beyond the grave. They're like gay zombies."
