Glenn Beck loves to trick as many people as possible into buying worthless gold from Goldline. Today he used an interesting strategy to pimp out the sponsor to his listeners. Beck basically said that if you put your faith in God then you definitely should entertain the idea of investing in Goldline. After all, you never know the direction the economy will go and it's always a good idea to have a useless "investment" sitting around.

Jimmy Kimmel took on BP last night after a new poll showed that 6% of Americans had a favorable view of the company. Kimmel was very surprised that anyone could actually think BP was a good organization after they completely destroyed the Gulf of Mexico. There was also some news that some Gulf residents were not upset with the oil company since the cleanup crews have boosted the local economies there. He then gave this comparison:

Fox & Friends may be the worst political opinion show every created. Pretty much everyone on the program has their head up their ass as they throw their bullshit opinions towards their viewers. Today was another fine example of this act.

With the oil disaster in the Gulf still flowing strong, Obama went golfing on Sunday with Ray LaHood, the Secretary of Transportation.  This was fine by Brian Kilmeade since LaHood was "the one Republican". Gretchen Carlson on the other hand had a different take::

The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre put together a sketch completely mocking BP and it's attempt to handle the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. This video outlines the steps taken by BP executives after spilling a cup of coffee on a meeting room desk. They follow many of the same procedures used in the Gulf from ping pong balls to Top Kill.

Last night Jon Stewart came down pretty hard on President Obama and how he has been dealing with situations during his presidency. The Daily Show host made it pretty clear that Obama is spending too much time explaining that things are complicated and not actually getting anything done.

Part of the discussion revolved around the recent comment made by Obama regarding kicking someone's ass for the oil spill. The segment titled Ass Quest 2010 brought to light that Obama is looking to kick his own ass and led Jon Stewart to performing an old school George W. Bush impression.

Most people have heard of a method to clean up oil from water using bushels of hay, but this is the first I have seen of using wax. Willy Nelson, who apparently has no relation to the weed smoking singer, demonstrates a method of cleaning water using granulated wax. He shows this method in two different examples in an interview several years ago. Nelson was so confident in the procedure that he actually drinks the water he removes the oil from.  Here is the clip:

In an interview on the MSNBC Today Show, Obama spoke of his response to the oil disaster and fired back against the media that is claiming he is not responding. This was Obama's quote when asked the question by Matt Lauer:

"I don't sit around just talking to experts because this is a college seminar. We talk to these folks because they potentially have the best answers so I know whose ass to kick."

Bill Maher was on his game Friday night and produced an absolutely hilarious segment of "New Rules". The main subject that the HBO host focused on was lying during the Internet era and how in almost all cases you will be caught red handed. It is especially ridiculous to lie if you are in the political arena. He used examples regarding McCain being a "Maverick", Palin living through the Exxon Valdez oil spill and John Edwards saying he never had relations with the mother of his child.

The best quote in this clip comes when Maher calls out Brit Hume regarding the fact he was downplaying the oil spill:

I think I have just figured out while oil is still leaking into the Gulf of Mexico after the "Top Kill" process failed. Tony Hayward, the CEO at BP, is a self-absorbed dicksmack with no apparent care of all the damage that was caused. Here is a video of him proclaiming "I would like my life back":

I always enjoy a good video depicting Fox, either Business or News, simply falling flat on their face trying to deliver content.  This video is from September of last year but delivers on this exact situation. While trying to announce a breaking news item, Fox Business simply can't figure out who in the hell actually has the information on the announcement that the "Supreme Court issues a stay for Chrysler."
