Obama held a press conference today and announced that he has finally released his long form birth certificate. This was finally done after a couple years of him shrugging off stupid ass birthers who believed he was a Kenyan Muslim ready to attack every American value possible. Representative Anthony Weiner took the House floor yesterday to discuss the latest budget proposal from Paul Ryan in which Medicare will be turned into a voucher system. It's funny how last year when the new Healthcare law was passed, all the GOP could do was scream at the top of their lungs that death panels will be formed. Now, they are trying to push through a new budget that will dramatically increase healthcare costs for seniors by turning it into a voucher system. Rep. Weiner, as always, does a fantastic job of calling out the politicians that support this disaster of a proposal.

Last night's Colbert Report featured a hilarious clip in which Colbert highlighted many of the recent comments from both Congress and the media surrounding Planned Parenthood. He started by highlighting a complete bullshit statistic that John Kyl made up stating that 90% of Planned Parenthood's services are abortions. This of course is a little far off from the truth when only 3% of their services are actually for abortions. 

The best part of this segment though was when Colbert discussed a comment made on Fox & Friends that women can actually get pap smears at Walgreens. Cobert explained how he went to the very same store to get his last colonoscopy. He had a very hard time actually staying in character and busted out laughing at one point.  

Sarah Palin once again makes herself look like a fool on national television with her amazing rhetoric. In an interview with Greta Van Susteren, the former Alaskan Governor gave her thoughts on the latest military actions that took place in Libya. She was confused on exactly what term should be used to refer to the attacks. Her quote:

"Do we use the term intervention, do we use war, do we use squirmish, what is it?"

You can definitely tell she was not trying to say "skirmish" but definitely thought it was "squirmish". I could only find one definition for this term on the Internet and here it is:

Showing signs of restlessness resulting from feelings of discomfort or distress.

I can't believe my own ears after seeing this clip. Shepard Smith was discussing the Wisconsin Union crisis with Juan Williams and actually got to the root of the problem. The bill being proposed by Scott Walker has nothing to due with a budget crisis, but actually is all about shutting down the unions. This exchange by Smith and Williams pretty much sums up Fox News:

Williams: "Just by telling them the facts you are angering a lot of people."

Smith: "Let 'em get angry. Facts are troublesome creatures from time to time."

This just once again shows that Fox News stating facts is nothing normal and they are worried might piss people off.

I don't really have much to say about this clip besides watch it. It blows my mind that a bill of this insane proportion could even possibly be submitted for legislation.

"Gould's bill would make it legal for a person who does not know if they have a gun to go into the sheriff's office, tell them you don't have a gun, then sue the department, then car jack the sheriff's cruiser and drive down the main streen firing out of the roof as long as that person does not understand that bullets can hurt people"

Fox News recently played false video footage of the 2011 CPAC Straw Poll where Ron Paul won for the second year in a row. Fox displayed footage from the 2010 CPAC where there were some people booing in the audience. This was quite the opposite of the actual crowd reaction that occurred at this years announcement.

Here is a longer video with some commentary as well. In this clip it also shows the Fox News host having the balls to ask Congressman Paul about the people booing.

Fox has no trouble painting Paul in a bad light because he is one of the few leading GOP candidates that is not actually on their payroll.

It's always nice to hear Bill Clinton talk politics. Someone who actually understands America, our problems and doesn't just shit out talking points the whole time. President Clinton recently spoke at the World Economic Forum and discussed America's future regarding economics and how we need to adapt. In this brief clip, he begins by discussing America's stance in the world post Cold War and then moves on to mentioning the GOP strategy:

"I don't like what I see as being setup as one of the main themes that the new Republicans are trying to setup in the 2012 elections, which is they know America is a truly exceptional country and all these wussy Democrats don't."

Clinton then moves on calling out Congresswoman Michele Bachman directly:

"Michele Bachmann said in her Tea Party response to President Obama: 'Everybody knows that we have the greatest healthcare system in the world.' - That is factually untrue."

Fox News loves to call out the "Lamestream" media whenever possible. They love to tout their ratings wherever possible, and then call out CNN, MSNBC etc. for being "lame" and not understanding the American people. Well, Fox is right in the fact they have far more viewers than any other single cable news channel. They are also right in the fact that they are both the "mainstream" and "lamestream" media.
